About Us
Grays Tractor Service is a small family owned business since 2000, located on the Darling Downs.
We were operating out of one building, employing one Spare Parts Interpreter, one Machinist and an Irrigation Consultant on a
client by client basis. As compared to present day operations of the business, which we have two
full time Spare Parts Interpreters, four full time Workshop employees and one Irrigation Consultant
which is employed on a Contract basis with Grays Tractor Service,
in addition to two full time employees for the Administration of the business of which the Spare Parts Devision, the Machine Workshop
and the Administration Office being located in the original building, with the Welding/Boilermaking Division located
in a newly built shed to accomodate the growing operations of the business.
Grays Tractor Service has grown from mainly operating as a Repairs and Maintenancee workshop with a limited stock of basic supplies,
to a fully operational Spare Parts Division, and extensive manufacturing and engineering division, servicing most of the Queensland
country areas, with an ever increasing demand to complete on-farm repairs and maintenance, an Irrigation division which is competitive
with local demands which has resulted in and increased stocking of Irrigation Spare Parts. We now also offer Field Services.
It has passed through our families and today Chucky Heyns, Jacques Rossouw and Tienie Rossouw are the Directors.
Both Chucky & Jacques are activley involved in the day to day running of the Business alongside their wifes, Chantell & Antionette.
Tienie and Suzie retired in 2017.
Chucky & Chantell made Dalby their home in 2005 . Both grew up on farms and Chucky was a Diesel Mechanic before he
started working at Grays as Boilermaker, Fitter & Turner and later took on the reins of the business with Jacques.
Jacques & Antionette moved to Dalby in 2006. He used to have his own Spray Painting Business untill he started at Grays.
We all come from a farming background and lived in small rural communities all our lifes. We know how important each and
every customer is that walks through our doors and we strive to give the best customer service, quality products
and competative prices, while having a yarn and laugh.
